A UKCC level 3 coach and one of British Show Jumping’s most experienced coaches. An International rider and trainer, and a former senior British Nations Cup rider, he has a wealth of experience and up to date knowledge of the standards and requirements of today’s sport.
James Willis is part of the Willis Brothers, who have specialised in building fixed and portable cross country jumps. James and his team have been builders for Badminton, Gatcombe and many more events across the world.
They have built fences for 3 Olympic Games and the World Equestrian Games. James offers a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of course design and building.
Mats Bjornetum is the brain behind the safety technology of MIM Clips.
The MIMclip is designed to protect horse and rider from the dangers of rotational falls. The clip contributes to the overall safety of the sport and it also guarantees fair and correct judging for riders.
We are delighted to be welcoming Mats to Osberton for the first time, to lend his experience and knowledge behind the MIMs Technology, with ever evolving thoughts and designs, Mats will be explaining the background and future developments to help the safety of our sport.
Jim Green led a national drive to improve the knowledge and skills for challenging operational incidents in response to animal rescues among much more. He co founded BARTA in 2012, together with Josh Slater, to promote the initiative and increase the knowledge and understand of how to deal with incidents especially in the Horse Trials field.
Helen is the current CEO of British Eventing and she has a steeped history in the sport. Helen has evented to CCI4* level and was the manager for Bicton Arena, which runs many British Eventing events. Helen is also an FEI Level 3 cross country course designer and is passionate about driving event standards up and is a firm believer in the importance of Educational courses.
Darrell is a former International Event rider, a Fellow of the British Horse Society, a listed dressage judge, BE and FEI coach, the BE Youth Performance Manager and most recently Chef d’equipe for the gold medal winning Junior and Young Rider teams at the European Eventing Championships.
Philippa is a UKCC4SJ Coach, she has ridden at International level in both show jumping and eventing. Her qualifications include a MSc in Sports Psychology, BSc Sports Psychology, BSc Equine Science, PgDip Professional Coaching.
Beau is the show jumping course builder at Osberton, and will be talking about how she has built the course for the various different classes. Beau is a Level 5 (Advanced) Course Designer, and has build many at many eventing venues alongside building at The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead and Bolesworth plus many more.
