Officials and Volunteers

Officials & Volunteers

We always love welcoming new volunteers to our sport. We welcome everyone from amateurs to experts, and all necessary training is provided.

There are many benefits that come with being a BEDE Events volunteer. We run three activities a year exclusively for our volunteers, with previous activities including yard visits with first-class riders and a tour around the Remount Army depot which houses Kings Troop and Household Cavalry horses. We also have a volunteers-only party, and offer vouchers to helpers to be redeemed against start fees or Cross Country schooling.

Eventing is a unique sport which we’re extremely passionate about. We’re privileged to host our events at some of the most beautiful sites in the country, and to welcome top quality eventers. To get involved, and join us in bringing our fantastic sport to life, please email or call 01949 829061.

If you are camping at Osberton - please read these Fire Safety Guidelines before you arrive on site.

Thank you so much to all those that have offered to help us at Osberton.  We are really looking forward to welcoming you once again.  I sent out an email to all earlier today, but will put a copy of it for you to read, as it contains some crucial information regarding procedures for entry etc at Osberton.  Click here to see this email.

I also have a couple of positions for the week at Osberton I still need to fill.  I am looking for a caravan steward to just help people on arrival for camping, and also a site controller for the radio room.  This is a role from Tuesday to Sunday inclusive and is a key role in emergency situations.  Prior knowledge of radio management is very desired for this position. If you are interested, or know anyone who might be, please do email me on

If you are planning to camp on site at Osberton, will need book you slot.  Bookings for camping will close 25th September, simply because we need to peg it all out and make sure we have enough room for you all!  If you click here and then enter your volunteer number (on the back of your BEDE Card) it will take you to the hidden page to book your slot.

Massive thanks to you all for all your support
