Officials and Volunteers

Officials & Volunteers

We always love welcoming new volunteers to our sport. We welcome everyone from amateurs to experts, and all necessary training is provided.

There are many benefits that come with being a BEDE Events volunteer. We run three activities a year exclusively for our volunteers, with previous activities including yard visits with first-class riders and a tour around the Remount Army depot which houses Kings Troop and Household Cavalry horses. We also have a volunteers-only party, and offer vouchers to helpers to be redeemed against start fees or Cross Country schooling. We also run a volunteers prize draw at each event, one lucky volunteer will be in with a chance to win a bottle of British Eventing Gin, 4 bottles of tonic courtesy of Fevertree and a gorgeous Gin glass, then at the end of year we also put all your entries from the year into one big prize draw and we have had prizes from Hospitality tickets to Badminton to a gorgeous Fairfax and Favor Purse!

Eventing is a unique sport which we’re extremely passionate about. We’re privileged to host our events at some of the most beautiful sites in the country, and to welcome top quality eventers. To get involved, and join us in bringing our fantastic sport to life, please email anna@bedeltd.co.uk or call 01949 829061.

with very many thanks

THORESBERTON HORSE TRIALS 2020

Thoresberton seems to be approaching very fast, with the COVID situation changing daily, and entries such an unknown, I don't think we have ever experienced an event of this scale with so many unknowns and be able to plan so little (or so much with about 5 different scenarios playing out)!

Therefore I have not been able to do a proper deployment, but have made a bit of a first stab at one which I will post below.  Please do be aware, this may well change very dramatically, as at this stage I don't think we will be doing any Cross Country on Friday, so those who are allocated Cross Country tasks on Friday, please don't think this is set in concrete, you may all get the day off!!

I have not enclosed any timings deliberately, as we have no idea when or what time we will be doing anything!  If there is a massive serge in late entries, things may well change again.
