With Olympic medallists and the renowned eventing stars from around the world bringing taking part, Osberton promises to be a star-studded event.
The British Young Horse Championships give spectators the chance to see star horses of the future. Young, up-and-coming riders will also have the once in a lifetime opportunity to compete against their idols in our novice competitions. It’s set to be non-stop excitement as we see the stars of the future unveiled
Pony Club Showjumping
Fun, fast and furious - the Pony Club showjumping games are back and bigger than ever. With their eyes firmly set on the prize, riding stars of the future will battle it out in various games and challenges, taking no prisoners to come out on top.
Food & Bars
A wide range of food and drink will be on offer at Osberton. Whether you’re looking to try something new from our artisan food stalls, or want to fill up on traditional food outlets, there’ll be something to tickle everyone’s taste buds. Keeping up to date with the eventing action can be thirsty work, so our Bus Bar will be on hand to serve your favourite tipple.
Nags Essentials Gate Jumping
After years of success and enjoyment, Nags Essentials Gate Jumping returns for yet another year of action.
The widely-loved competition sees riders attempt to jump gates without knocking them down. If the gate falls, competitors can buy themselves a tie - at the discretion of the commentator - by removing an item of clothing (crash hats cannot be removed). The rider who can jump the highest gate whilst keeping their clothes on will be crowned as our winner!
The hotly-anticipated Director’s Challenge will return to Osberton again for 2019 - but what will it be this year?!
Grooms and the public are both invited to take part in our secret equine challenge - but the task won’t be unveiled until the day! Previous challenges have included plaiting whilst blindfolded, and putting a double bridle back together in the quickest time possible. We wonder what will be in store for participants this year...
Shire Horse Display
See the majestic Shire Horses in all their glory as they put on a stunning performance at Osberton International Horse Trials. Throughout the event the magnificent breed will be showcased in a number of displays, including a ploughing competition and arena parade.
Get yourself a ringside seat with our Osberton Picnic Parking!
Bring a basket of goodies, kick back by the water jump and get a close-up view of the action as top class riders and their young horses tackle the course. The water jumps put both the riders and their horses thoroughly to the test, and you can enjoy the thrill from some of the best seats in the house. Picnic parking tickets cost £80, and includes entry for up to 4 people and a parking space.
Check out dog agility at its best with our Dog Agility shows and demonstrations.
Dog Agility is always a family favourite at Osberton, with tons of spectators gathering to see clever pooches showcase their skills. Watch as specially trained agility dogs make their way round the obstacles and jumps with help from their expert handlers, and even give your furry friend a shot at the action with our ‘have a go’ obstacle course!
Grove & Rufford Hounds
Red coats, horses and the sound of hounds barking happily - the quintessentially British Grove & Rufford Hounds will be joining us once again at Osberton Horse Trials this September. Take advantage of the rare opportunity to see and meet the Grove & Rufford hounds when they parade at Osberton.
Osberton Chase 10k
After its successful debut last year, we’re thrilled to announce the return of the Osberton Chase 10k this autumn!
Held in conjunction with Worksop Harriers & AC, the popular trail race follows a scenic course through the grounds of Osberton Estate. The trail offers participants a great opportunity to enjoy the rest of the days activities as they compete themselves.
The Osberton Chase 10k will be held on Sunday 6th October.
